the first instance, or whether a Town Planner should be appointed straight away for a period of perhaps 18 months or 2 years to work out a detailed plan of development.
We should also be most grateful if you could suggest the names of any suitable persons whom we might approach in either case, and give us some indication of what remuneration they would be likely to expect. We should not, of course, wish anybody to be sounded at present.
My Secretary of State is taking a personal interest in this appointment which he regards as of considerable importance at the present time. Consideration of it has unfortunately, for a number of reasons, had to be delayed at this end and I would therefore very much appreciate an early reply.
